My third and final installment of the mock is here to kill another five minutes of work (six if you leave a menacing comment). I like keeping things fresh and hedging my bets, so I’ve decided to list who I think the team will select and who’d I select if I were running the team. [...]

2009 NFL Mock Draft, Version 2.0
April 3rd, 2009 · 11 Comments
It’s April and the second installment is way overdue. It’s been quite a while since I’ve had Raider and Eagle fans inform me how little I know about just about everything. My apologies, but document scanning season is like tax season only longer and more intense. Anyway, I have updated my previous mock and there [...]

I haven’t been around these parts in some time, but it’s mock draft season, so I’m back to drop mock knowledge on the masses. And yes, I know mock drafts are pointless. Kiper spends every waking minute of his life studying this crap only to get like four right on draft day because there were [...]

Michael Crabtree Not As Tall As He Was Yesterday
February 20th, 2009 · 3 Comments
Via the Seahawks Blog:
Michael Crabtree wasn’t quite as tall as expected. He measured 6-1.25, 215 pounds. He doesn’t plan on running at the combine, instead waiting until next month.
I’ve never really understood this practice of college programs/players enhancing their the heights and weights of their athletes. It’s not like this is the WWF/E billing Andre [...]

Ken O’Brien is No Flash Gordon
May 1st, 2008 · 2 Comments
Ming the Merciless really did planet Mongo and his faithful followers a disservice by “skyjacking” Flash Gordon, instead of waiting until 1983 and suck-beaming in perennial loser Ken O’Brien. Unless being on the losing end of some not so memorable contests with Dan Marino is a quality intergalactic quarterback heroes need to posses, there’s no [...]

Lions Draft Kevin Smith
April 28th, 2008 · 1 Comment
I always saw him more as a left guard type but apparently he’s a speedy runner from Central Florida. He probably would have went higher but he had a few character issues, like the fact that he smokes, curses a lot and associates with known heroin users.
