A surprising development occurred yesterday in the world of little known yet highly productive small market point guards as Suave favorite Ramon Sessions signed an offer sheet with the Minnesota Timberwolves. It’s a surprising move since 1) the Knicks and Clippers seemed to be the only teams that were serious about signing Sessions and 2) no one in the history of humanity has ever turned down the chance to live in either New York and L.A. to toil away in the hotbed of action that is Minnesota. On top of that the T’Wolves drafted approximately 11 point guards in June, none of which now will likely be starting for the team come October. Also, my dreams of watching young Ramon run wild in D’Antoni’s offense have evaporated as well. Just an odd move all around.
