I have no problem admitting that I don’t mind Joe Buck. I’m not crazy about him but I don’t share the same hatred that others on the interwebs do. I’ve seen him play the dry, straight man on on Conan a few times and if nothing else, at least he can be self-deprecating. Not to mention, he’s still mostly just an announcer. If he starts to suck or makes himself too much the focus of the broadcast, just turn down the volume and throw some music on. Joe Buck, as ubiquitous as he seems, is avoidable. And now for a quick 180°….

Man, that’s one uncomfortable face….
The friendly chatter continued on an overtime segment that aired only on the internet. It may have actually been more cringeworthy than the video above. Awful Announcing has that here as well.
Update: At some point HBO decided that no one should be able to watch the only video that anyone feels like discussing today and thus have left the o’sphere with a lot of scorched cyberearth. Deadspin has the original segment up still and the Big Lead has the OT segment.
