Michael Crabtree wasn’t quite as tall as expected. He measured 6-1.25, 215 pounds. He doesn’t plan on running at the combine, instead waiting until next month.
I’ve never really understood this practice of college programs/players enhancing their the heights and weights of their athletes. It’s not like this is the WWF/E billing Andre the Giant at 7′4” his entire career despite the fact that he was only like three or four inches taller than Hogan. They are going be evaluated thoroughly at some point and all this does is raise an unnecessary red flag at combine/workout time. This should not be a confusing process. Nate Silver can project the election results for each party within a tenth of a percent, yet obtaining the actual height of 20 year old prospect remains somewhat murky and elusive .
