Sports journalism’s Gandhi, otherwise known as Bobby Costas, was a guest on Mike’d up today.
Instead of talking about the Sup-ah Bowl, Mikey Francesa focused the talk on the Olympics.
Eventually, they discussed ratings, which is a topic Mikey isn’t so shy about.
Anyway, Bobby explained that US swimmer Jason Lezak kept the Michael Phelps storyline alive, thus maintaining and increasing the mammoth ratings.
Bobby then went on to say this: “Dick Ebersol, I hope, sent Jason Lezak a lovely Christmas gift.”
And I hope Lezak unwrapped it right under his menorah!
