The Sack Whack Is Alive And Well

In the last few days, The Suave has been fulfilling the role of  NCAA basketball cheap shot / cheap video reporter. Keeping up with the trend, I present you with the latest and greatest incident, which happened in tonight’s Oklahoma vs. USC game.

Blake Griffin, backpedaling on defense, was on the receiving end of a time-honored classic: the sack whack.

USC’s Leonard Washington delivered the nostalgic blow, rekindling a flame that still burns brightly in a thousand middle schools across the country.

Like a delicate flower, Blake tumbled to the ground in agony.

The announcers — particularly Bob Wischusen — went into ULTRA-CONSERVATIVE mode, describing the incident as one of the worst he’d witnessed in college athletics. Really, Bob?

Wischusen, however, failed to notice that Blake shoved Washington on the previous play.
