By this line of reasoning, the smart move for the Dodgers would be to dig up the bones of Kid Nichols and trot him out there for game 2.

There are reasons Maddux is in the bullpen and NOT starting, Joe. 13 losses, a 4.42 ERA and a .272 OPP. AVG. are some of those reasons.
