The Daily News — leaving no stone unturned — ventured to Mike D’Antoni’s hometown of Mullens, West Virginia this past week.
According to wiki, Mullens does not have a movie theater, mall, bowling alley, or “anything of the sort.”
As you can see, they took the “Footloose” approach to town-planning.
While visiting the depressed, black-lung inducing former mining town, The News snapped some photos. I have paired those photos with their New York equivalents.
Thriving Business District

The Barber Shop

Used Car Lot

Streetballin’

The Age of Innocence

And there you have it.
Welcome to New York, Mike.
Now win a fucking title or go back to sucking coal like Homo-Claus.
