I took Braylon Edwards as my No. 1 receiver in my fantasy football draft this year.
He was coming off an 80-catch, 1,239-yard, 16-TD year. On top of the stats, I saw his boner-worthy “fantasy files” video, which showed him catching footballs blindfolded.
Braylon offered up this line from the vid: “Being a receiver is not about physicality, speed. It’s Zen, and the art of receiving — seeing without seeing.”
Not only was I getting a top-flight physical specimen, but I was getting one with the mind of Phil Jackson.
This was a smart move, I surmised. Actually, I was so confident in his production that I drafted Steve Smith — with full knowledge that he had to serve a two-game suspension — next. It was OK, Braylon would more than make up for any lost points.
Currently saddled with an 0-2 record, I guess you could say things have not gone as planned. But just how bad has he been?
Through two games, THIS GUY has almost doubled Braylon’s production.
So, in honor of Bryalon’s horrifically bad start, I made this short film.
Enjoy.
