I haven’t really gotten around to perusing the ’sphere this morning but I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks that the Broncos were forced by the NFL to go for two yesterday in a desperate attempt to right the wrong call made by Ed Hochuli. Like perhaps Roger Goodell sees Hochuli readily admit to making an error that directly affects the outcome of a game, goes into panicky save face mode and suddenly takes over the frequency that transmits into the helmets with the green dots and said something like “What’s done is done. If Denver scores here, they have to go for two and if they convert then they’ve earned the victory.” I have no doubt this or something strikingly similar occurred. I wholeheartedly refuse to believe otherwise and if something like this happens again, instead of going the subtle route, Goodell may stop the game and chime in from the heavens like he’s the Christof to the NFL’s Truman.
