After sacking former teammate Chad Pennington on Sunday, Ellis broke out the infamous “Crane kick.” It has been rumored the 6-5, 270-pound Ellis practiced the maneuver on the ledge of Jersey’s very own indoor ski slope, which is adjacent to the Meadowlands.
Pennington, staying with the “Karate Kid” theme, topped Ellis after the game, reenacting a blasted Mr. Miyagi. According to blood brother Laveranues Coles, Pennington passed out after drinking a handle of Old Crow.
“Chad just kept mumbling ‘j-e-t-s, just-exit-turnpike-shit’ before he toppled over his nightstand,” Coles said.
