From this article, here’s a quote from Kidd regarding his possible retirement from international play, in which he is now 56-0:
“I’m undefeated. I told them I can retire now from international ball, but LeBron [James] threw out something I didn’t like. He said he won’t play in 2012 unless I’m there.”
Thanks, Dallas Morning News, for the [James] clarification on which LeBron made that quote. LeBron Finklewicz hates it when things the other LeBron says is attributed to him.
I guess LBJ is sincere about this though as he threw out this suggestion:
“J-Kidd is going to become a player-coach now,”
Anytime you can take away minutes from Chris Paul and Deron Williams (and perhaps Derrick Rose) in favor of a 39 year old point guard, you HAVE to do it. And if possible, you should also let that 39 year old have 100% control over his own playing time.
