What Devin Hester Is To Speed, Wayne Hunter Is To Positive Spirits

Wayne Hunter, 100 Morale In MaddenYou see that man smiling there on the left? That’s Jets’ offensive lineman Wayne Hunter and nothing gets him down. How do I know this? Because I’m dedicating a healthy portion of my what is usually my normal Tuesday morning workload of editing HTML and sending out emails blasts to instead reading features on Madden 09. It was in doing so that I came across this article from 1up.com detailing some of the game’s player ratings. They list each player in the game who has one individual attribute that was given the max rating of 100. You know, like Randy Moss and his jumping ability, Peyton Manning’s awareness and of course the aforementioned Wayne Hunter’s morale.

One has to wonder what Wayne Hunter did to win over the EA staff and achieve the rare rating but after reading this, I’m fairly certain Hunter’s brother, the bar patron whom Hunter assaulted, and his ex-girlfriend were probably excluded from the department that determines these ratings. Although, I know when I’m slamming someone through a shuffleboard table, I tend to try to maintain as cheerful demeanor as possible, so who knows?

Speaking of EA’s football franchise, I was about to take an impromptu trek to Best Buy to pick up a copy, but after seeing this video of Lawrence Taylor on Yardbarker, now I’m not so sure. I mean this whole time, I’ve just been going through life content on using the missionary position and rattling off seasons of Madden, but that shit’s played out now. I may have to switch my allegiance to Blitz and start experimenting more with the reverse cow girl.
