After a 19 month hiatus following the personally devastating Allen Iverson trade which cause me to flirt with switching my allegiance to the Denver Nuggets and later on the Seattle SuperSonics, I would like to announce that following the signing of Elton Brand, I am fully back on board with my 76er fandom, although I probably would have been a lot more excited had they signed my roto mancrush Josh Smith instead. But, Brand’s a marquee guy nonetheless, so I float in NBA purgatory no longer. Simply liken it to the same way that Rickey Henderson kept coming back to the A’s every couple of seasons. I actually think my wishy washy, what have you done for me lately attitude actually helps my Phiily fan status more than it hurts it. Allow me to do some irrational retroactive catching up:

1. Andre Miller! He’s awesome! Definitely one of the top five PG in the league! Career year! Allen who?
2. Marreese Speights! What a steal! How in the world did 15 teams pass him up?!?!
3. Louis Williams, my stars, he’s like the second coming of Nate Archibald!

That should just about do it.
