That’s the thing… Over the past three or four weeks, he’s done a ton of finger pointing, and apparently, he is the only one who doesn’t truly understand the irony of pointing his finger at all of the players that he singlehandedly overpaid for.

Did you see the parting shots Bavasi took at the M’s? He basically ripped apart the team that he alone assembled. Quality entertainment.

And Guillen seemed to fire up the team in the clubhouse, too. An absolute no-no.

I’m still reeling from how he ran Carlos Guillen out of town. First he tried to replace him with Omar Vizquel (who didn’t pass his physical), and then with Aurilla who was gone midway through…. I think he must’ve been banging Carlos’ mother or something and was trying to avoid a confrontation….

Haha, Sean Burroughs, wow, there are just so many terrible moves here.

The best move he probably made was signing Jose Guillen to a one year deal. But he performed too well to be retained for the next season.

How about Rich Aurilla who got 3.5 mil for 73 games in 2004…
Or Carl Everett, signed in January 2006, released July 2006, 3.4 mil (that’s a pretty good 6 months!)
The blockbuster Aron Sele sining of 2005.
Pokey Resse who earned 900 grand for NOT DOING ANYTHING.
Chris Reitsma. Nuff said…
There were also other glamour signings like Matt Lawton, Sean Burroughs……

All I have to say is: If trading Julio Mateo for Jesus Merchan is probably the best thing he’s done in his tenure, it is not a particularly fabulous reign…
