Mike D’Antoni wasted no time in saying he wants to trade Stephon Marbury. In fact, that became public even before his introductory press conference. Ideally, D’Antoni would like to ship Marbury back to the thrifty Suns for Boris Diaw and Leandro Barbosa, but I don’t know. Barbosa didn’t seem all too thrilled the last time he was rumored to be heading to the Knicks.

Donnie Walsh and Mike D’Antoni were on the FAN this morning and said there is no truth to this rumor. Walsh said that his main priority is to get under the salary cap and this move would make no sense for him.
While D’Antoni was at one time a GM/Coach in Phoenix, he is only a Coach in New York. The Knicks have yet to hire a GM.
