In continuing this week’s series of seeing videos on other blogs and posting them here (suck it, integrity), comes this video of Patrick Ewing Jr.’s incredible dunk from the college slam dunk contest (courtesy of the Sporting Blog, who saw it on a blog called The Dagger, who was tipped off by site named Inside Charm City. Blogging > real journalism.) As a Hoyas fan, I really came to appreciate P-Ew Jr. this year and wish the Hoyas would have been able to get more than two years out of him. That is opposed to the other son-of-a-former-NBA-player on the team, Jeremiah Rivers, who, on numerous occasions during the season caused me to stand up and scream at the television “YOU ARE THE WORST FUCKING PLAYER IN ALL OF COLLEGE BASKETBALL!” Alas, Rivers is only a sophomore, so unless he gets caught jacking it in the library, I’m am going to have to sit through two more seasons of three-pointers from the corner careening off the side of the backboard and haphazard drives through the lane that end with 180° reverse over the shoulder shots that hit more backboard than rim.
