In the midst 12 game winning streak, the news out of Houston is that Yao Ming is out for the year with a stress fracture in his foot. Looking at the current standings, the Rockets are seeded 7th and are only three games out of the top spot. However, there are essentially nine teams for eight spots (sorry, the Portland fairytale is just about over and done) and I’d prefer to see Denver (currently ninth) make the playoffs over T-Mac and whatever lineup combination they are going to throw out there now. Rotoworld adds that “Jamaal Magloire could be an option to sign.” Gross.

This has to be agonizing for Rockets fans, but then again, who the hell is a Rockets fan?

Don’t worry, Yao Baby. I’ll nurse you back to health.
