I’ve gone ahead and projected newly acquired St. Louis Cardinal Juan Gonzalez’ 2008 fantasy impact:

I’m predicting Juan’s lone start to come April 28th at home against Aaron Harang and the Cincinnati Reds. For those in leagues that support weekly roster changes, I suggest sitting Gonzalez weeks 1-4 and 5-26. He still has some pop, but temper your expectations. Harang is a frontline starter and TonyLaRussa may be tempted to pull the former two-time AL MVP after just two AB’s for defensive purposes, significantly reducing the percentage of projected plate appearances. He’s one of my favorite High Risk, Low Reward players this year so don’t be afraid to spend that extra dollar on him in auction drafts.
