In this morning’s Seattle Times, Jerry Brewer makes a passionate plea for the Mariners to retain super prospect Adam Jones. Rumor has it, that Jones has been offered to the Orioles along with Jeff Clement and George Sherrill for Erik Bedard. Brewer definately makes some sense here. Most out of Seattle don’t realize that Jose Guillen went .290/23/99 for the Mariners last year. Jones is projected to take his place. While Bedard is an excellent pitcher, he is 29 years old, very expensive in two years and has proven to be injury prone. Adam Jones might be the Mariners rightfielder for the next 15 years. Should the Mariners pull the trigger?
What To Do With Adam Jones?
