Where There’s Always Plenty Of Schadenfreude To Go Around

Brian Billick Fired. Forcing me to use all my Brian Billick material at once.

R.I.P.

“All musicians should write poetry or at least read it if they want to improve their game. Except for people who believe lyrics don’t matter. This is the Brian Billick theory of songwriting: Defense (the music) not offense (lyrics) wins championships (Grammys). The best teams of course have both. And the Ravens were very dull and unlikable. They weren’t built to last. My songs are built to provide years of shadowplay.”

Honk if you're lonely, Billick.

One of my favorite quotes about the parallels between music and football by one of my favorite recording artists and writers, D.C. Berman of the Silver Jews. I wish I had ever found the proper time to really use it, but because it is one of the dumbest things that anyone has ever said, the opportunity never really presented itself. This in and of itself is one of the most convoluted, confusing and nonsensical quotes of all time but I love it mainly because it is a continuation of one of my favorite arguments with Roger Dorn regarding who knows more about music and who knows more about sports.I’ll give you some insight into our relationship: I know more about both.

Roger Dorn doesn’t listen to music. I wonder what kind of smug reaction Billick would have to the blow job gif?

You know what strikes me as funny about this post? That I act like it’s normal to have Brian Billick “material”.

    Get a life, me.
