Tirico Suave Continues the Most In-Depth Brian Schneider Coverage on the Web

This is the Brian Schneider Situation Room. Here’s a blurb from Rotoworld.

Rosenthal says that the Mets offered Johnny Estrada to the Nats in the trade, free of charge, but that the Nats preferred to look elsewhere for a Schneider replacement.”

Can someone tell me why teams treat Johnny Estrada like the plague. Isn’t he good enough to not be traded every off-season?

You are the bard of the block quote, Mr Dorn.

I think it’s just a money thing for the Nats. And they really like Jesus Flores who they got for free (Rule 5 pickup) from the Mets last year. Incidently, Flores may be better defensively than Schneider for a fraction of the cost.
